Of course, during the span of that frenzied leveling, I was confronted again by the quest “The Longbeards”.

The innkeeper at Honor Hold wants you to go find “The Longbeards”, a pair of dwarf brothers that went off in the West somewhere.

They can be found almost due south of Falcon Watch in Hellfire Peninsula, but before you go see them, I suggest (strongly) that you visit Nethergarde Keep in the Blasted Lands.

You see, one of the Longbeards brothers, Miren, will ask you to gain your trust by bringing booze. That’s a dwarf for you. But since he’s a picky boozer, he wants Nethergarde Bitter, which is only sold by Bernie Heisten in Nethergarde Keep.

Every time I do this quest, I look for that guy – I never seem to remember where he is. So hopfully, writing about it will permanently jolt my memory.

Bernie can be found in the Northern castle at Nethergarde Keep, in the bottom left room. Turn left when you get in, then left again – he’s a “Food & Drink Vendor”.

Once you have your Nethergarde Bitter – better yet, buy a couple and put them in the bank for your next Alt that needs it – go back through the Dark Portal, and bring Miren his poison.

To “Gain Miren’s Trust” you’ll also have to be Honored with Honor Hold, but you should already be there. Otherwise, just do a couple more quests in the Honor Hold area, and that should bring you right up.

However, there are some new and exciting twists to some of these quests now.  Playing with tanks in Wintergrasp, flying dragons with the Wyrmrest and of course lest I forget to mention the infamous, much sought after “Wrathgate” chain in Dragonblight.

I, being oh so easily amused, have a simpler favorite quest chain called the “Winterfin Retreat” in the Borean Tundra.  The most compelling reason for me was that you get to wear a Murloc suit carrying a white flag of truce!  The entertainment value alone is worth this very easy, quick chain.  Bring a buddy, make a new friend, dance, joke, flirt, basically use all of your emotes!  It will send you into gales of laughter I can assure you!  Down side, you don’t get to keep the suit…bummer Blizzard, bummer..gggrrrrrllllllllllalalalllll.

Overall, it takes approximately (1) hour to complete the whole chain,which can be picked up by an NPC at the airstrip.  THEN you can do business with the clam vendor there.  Which then leads to my favorite thing to farm…clams, clams, clams for fun and profit!!!
