Dragonblight is located in the middle, southern part of Northrend. It is a frozen wasteland, littered with the bones of ancient dragons – hence the name, I gather – and dotted with occasional bits of greenery.

In general, the only herbs that can be farmed in Dragonblight are [Frozen Herbs] which theoretically can be any sort of Northrend herb but in reality tend to be Goldclover. In Mordauk’s case, this does not matter, as every Northrend herb mills down to the same thing for Inscription purposes.
There are a few areas where the herbs can be gathered unfrozen, such as the Ruby Dragonshrine, but otherwise everything is frozen solid.
Before I go into detail about what was gathered, here is the Dragonblight Herb Map:
*** To Level Quickly and Efficiently, use this Automated Leveling Assistant, either for Alliance or Horde ***The Herb spawn nodes are concentrated, in general, in the eastern and western part of the map, which makes farming relatively quickand painless.
Here is what I gathered this morning, in 30 minutes of farming herbs in Dragonblight:
- 43 Goldclover
- 13 Talandra’s Rose
- 12 Tiger Lily
- 4 Crystallized Life
- 1 Deadnettle
I have the suspicion that Crystallized Life, as well as Deadnettle, don’t deal so well with being frozen, and that is why their drop rate is absolutely terrible from [Frozen Herbs].
I think that the only Deadnettle and Crystallized Life I got this morning were from unfrozen herbs I gathered at the Ruby Dragonshrine or at that green area just to the west of New Hearthglen. This will have to be confirmed in a future farming run, but I am almost certain already that this is the case.
This is a real shame, especially as far as Deadnettle in concerned, because it really cuts down on the total quantity of herbs gathered, which can be a real issue for Scribes or Alchemists.
