Wetlands is a zone situated due north of Dun Morogh and Ironforge, and is populated by mobs of level 20-26, roughly.

Its main city, Menethil Harbor, is connected by boat to the Howling Fjord in Northrend, Darkshore (I think?) and Theramore.

For any character above level 40, Wetlands is a very easy area to farm for herbs. There is only one area that is off-limits, Grim Batol, which is populated by all sorts of level 56-and-up Elite Dragonkin. Fortunately, there are absolutely no herbs there, so no need to go, except if you want the exploration Achievement.

My little Herbalism run in Wetlands this morning took me about 40 minutes. Here is what I gathered:

• 16 Bruiseweed
• 8 Briarthorn
• 15 Kingsblood
• 10 Mageroyal
• 8 Wild Steelbloom
• 6 Liferoot
• 1 Grave Moss

This is not a very excellent run, but I must admit that this was Mordauk’s first visit to Wetlands, and in order to take a nice screenshot, he had to uncover the map. This took maybe 10 minutes that were not spend gathering herbs. Here’s that famous Wetlands Herbalism Map:

The herbs are pretty much well-distributed all over the map, except of course for the Grave Moss, which only “grows” around Iron Beard’s Tomb, and Grim Batol, which has no herbs at all.

I will return to Wetlands for another Herb run in the next few days, unburdened by the need to open up the map, and I think that the herb haul will be a lot nicer than this.
