Herbalism: Peacebloom

March 23rd, 2009 · No Comments

Peacebloom is a low-level herb that can be gathered using the Herbalism skill. Despite its humble appearance, it has many uses for characters that have the Alchemy or Inscription profession.

Alchemy. Peacebloom is used as a component in the following Alchemy recipes:

Obviously, none of these items are very powerful. They are, however, a stepping stone on which all Alchemy professions are built. Please note that sometimes, low-level potions are used to make higher level ones, so you never know when you’ll be back farming Peacebloom!

Inscription. For characters with the Inscription profession, Peacebloom is milled down to Alabaster Pigment. It is the lowest-level pigment available, but you will find that it is used for Minor Inscription Research. This is a Inscription ability that lets you discover additional Glyphs, and it is on a 20-hour cooldown. This means that even at exalted levels, you will be back farming Peacebloom occasionally.

Peacebloom, and therefore Alabaster Pigment, is used for the following Inscription Inks:

Peacebloom, along with Silverleaf and Earthroot, is in the group of Herbs that will yield Alabaster Pigment when milled.

Where can I farm Peacebloom?

Peacebloom can be found in abundant supply in all the racial starting zones, as well as in the low-level zones adjacent to these, such as Westfall or Redridge Mountains for Humans.

Peacebloom needs lots of sunlight, and grows away from hills, trees or rocks, and can usually be found in open fields or areas.

Best Alliance Peacebloom Farming Zones:

  • Elwynn Forest
  • Dun Morogh
  • Teldrassil

Best Horde Peacebloom Farming Zones:

  • Durotar
  • Mulgore
  • Tirisfal Glades

Peacebloom can also be purchased as a limited-supply item for a variety of vendors throughout Azeroth. While you can not really count on that to level your skill, it is always a nice bonus.

Peacebloom also drops from chests in low-level areas, as well as occasionally from plant mobs in the same areas, such as Timberlings in Teldrassil.
