Okay, so you’ve got a level 70 character. You’re kind of bored, because you’re always farming for gold so you can afford that Epic flying mount you’re had your eyes on…
Don’t tell me you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’ve been there. Or rather, I AM there. I intensely dislike farming for gold. It’s repetitive, it takes a long time, and you’re always blowing the cash on some gizmo or whatnot that you don’t really need so you need to grind even more.
Today I’m going to share with you a little tip on how to earn 25g in just a few minutes. The beauty is, you can repeat those 2 quests every single day - they are aptly named “Daily Quests”.
First off, you’ll need your regular flying mount, the 900g one. No getting around that. Make your way to the Allerian Stronghold, then fly southeast until you get to Sky Sergeant Doryn (64,66). He’ll give you a quest called Fires Over Skettis, in which he wants you to destroy 20 Monstrous Kaliri Eggs. He’ll even give you the explosives with which to do it. That’s the kind of guy he is. The prerequisite for that quest is Threat From Above in Shattrath.
Then, mount your flyer and go kill some eggs! They are located at the top of trees south of where you get the quest. Watch out for the birds, they’ll whack you real hard then you’ll fall off and die if you’re too high/not careful. They bird’s aggro range is really small so if you pay attention, you should have no problem avoiding them.
A few things to remember:
- If you get knocked off your flyer, try falling in the lake or on a platform, so you don’t die.
- When bombing, get as close to possible to the trunks of the trees to get out of the Kaliri’s aggro range.
- The birds fly close to the trees, so when going from tree to tree, fly real high to avoid them.
- Do the quest naked to avoid costly repairs, especially if you’re wearing plate.
- Don’t do this if you want to do the second repeatable quest, for which clothes and some decency will be required.
Once you’ve killed your eggs, you can either go turn in the quests for 12g, or stick around for the easiest escort quest you’ve ever done, one that will give you 10g and some nice potions.
In one of three locations (60,75 or 68,74 or 75,86) some dude will spawn that gives a repeatable quest. Basically you have to escort him to the bottom of the platform where he spawns, killing maybe 5 mobs if you’re unlucky. For that heroic feat, you will be rewarded by Sky Sergeant Doryn with 9g and 2 Volatile healing potions. Nothing to stress you out too much.
So there you go. Maybe a little less than 25g, but close enough. As a bonus, you’ll earn 350 rep points for each mission turn in, which will allow you to purchase some cheap Epics from the Skyguard Quartermaster. Nothing incredible, but eh, at least when people inspect you they won’t burst their spleen laughing at your crappy gear.

Tis the easiest gold you will ever get!! If your a mage and those pesky Karli’s do find you, dont forget your freefall spell! That has saved me a time or two. Also watch what time of day your doing those daily’s. The escort quest is very easy solo but if you happen to be there during “rush hour” , go ahead and group, it will save alot of time waiting for the respawn.( Plus while waiting for the respawn, your group just might knock off a few eggs while your waiting).

OHH!! I forgot to add….the 25min is probably the longest time it will ever take to complete those 2 quests…Renei and I completed those 2 the other day and the longest time was looking for the escort guy in the first place! So ask too in general chat, most often someone will be kind enough to tell you where he is spawning that day…..
