Tired of being poor? Try this proven WoW Gold Guide and make over 200 Gold an hour, legally!
There are many ways to make WoW Gold. Some are easy, some are hard, some take forever and some take skill. In this article, I will quickly go over three (3) methods that are commonly used, their advantages and their drawbacks.
Farming Materials
Farming materials, such as leather, cloth or primals, is a straightforward way to make WoW gold. Basically, it requires a little research into farming areas – to find out the best drop rates, then killing the same mobs or gathering the same mats over and over again. Once you have amassed a significant quantity, you sell the stacks on the Auction House and make your profit there.
Advantages:
- Simple
- Profitable
Drawbacks:
- Time consuming
- You can lose money if you overprice your items and they don’t sell, because of the Auction House deposit. Don’t worry, this is rare.
Daily Quests
Doing daily quests is a good way to earn WoW Gold. You need (in most cases) a Level 70 or higher character and some basic knowledge of quests, factions and reputations, as well as a flying mount. In a perfect world, you could easily earn more than 500 Gold per day.
Advantages
- Tons of Gold to be made
- Chances of quality drops from mobs
Drawbacks
- Like Farming, Time consuming
Annoying, insofar as it’ll soon feel like an obligation (omg I’ve not done my Daily Quests today! I’m losing cash as we speak!)
Disenchanting
Ah, my favorite! Takes a little more skill than other methods, but can easily be mastered by applying a little bit of brainpower as well as Auctioneer Add-On power. It works like this: scan the Auction House for low-price green items that no one wants (“of the Whale”, for example) and purchase them.
You then turn around, disenchant them and sell the mats on the Auction House for massive profit. Enchanting reagents are always in demand, and are free to advertise on the Auction House (i.e. no deposit) so you can put them up over and over until they sell. Pre-Lich King, you needed a toon with 275 Enchanting to disenchant up to Level 70 items. You will also need a little seed capital – a few hundred golds will do – to buy your first batch of disenchantable items.
Advantages
- You never need leave Stormwind or one of your faction capitals
- Fast: an hour a day can net you 500 or more Gold, MUCH better than farming or Questing
Drawbacks
- You need to enjoy the Auction House, because you’ll be spending a lot of time there
- There is a learning curve (but its not very steep)
- You need some start-up capital
So there you have it: three simple ways to make some WoW gold. As previously stated, the last one is my favorite by far, and I’ve used it – personally – to make A LOT of money, so I know it works. They all do.
