I Got A [Searing Blade]

November 30th, 2007 · No Comments

Ok, well this is the first post in this new category, which I’ve aptly named “My Epic Drops”. I know that epics are Purple, and most likely I’ll be listing Blues, but bear with me. You must agree that “My Epic Drops” sounds a LOT better than “My Blue & Purple Drops”, no?

Anyways, I don’t care. It’s my blog and I’ll call it what I want.

So, to inaugurate this new section, a little bit of background. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft pretty regularly (read: every day) since March of 2007, and in that time, playing about 5 characters, I got 3 (yes, three) Epic drops. I’m not talking about Bind on Pickup stuff, I’m talking random world drops. A Bow, some Gloves - both 39th level - and a [Dwarven Hand Cannon] which I sold on the trade channel for 125g.

Besides that, Blizzard saw fit to reward my playing efforts (and $14.99 a month, US currency) with maybe 20 Blues, 95% of them subsequently sold on AH.

Which brings us to my latest Blue drop, the [Searing Blade]. Level 18 two-handed sword, not bad at all for a rich twink. I would have used it (maybe) if my character was suited to it, but I’m playing a shaman, so no such luck.

I got it in Monday and put it on AH for 35g-40g buyout. No takers. I put it up the next day 32g-35g buyout, did a little hawking in the trade channel, and it sold - undoubtedly bought by some twink with a rich sugar daddy. Hey, nothing wrong with that, bless ‘em.

So Grunman is now level 25 - soon 26 - and has about 65g, which is not bad at all. At least he won’t be like some losers at level 45 still hoofing it everywhere because they can’t afford the measly 90g to get a 60% mount.

If you are hoping to receive ****spam**** by signing up, then you will be sorely disappointed. I will never share, rent or sell your email address to anyone, for any reason.
