As you know, I’ve not been writing very much this last month or so. There are several reasons for this, but the principal one is that I’ve been looking for reasons to keep playing, and I haven’t found many.

I’ve loaded the game a few times, ran around, but I feel that I know the content – non end-game, of course – so well that it’s kind of pointless.

Even right this second I’m pondering whether I should delete these miserable few lines, and write at another moment when inspiration flows more smoothly.

I won’t delete them of course, but you see what I mean.

I have been so far removed from World of Warcraft in these last couple of weeks, that I was shocked yesterday when I received an MSN message from my friend Morevan, Guildmaster – or co-Guildmaster, I just haven’t been keeping up – of Ragnarok on US-Gnomeregan.

Turns out that Morevan has dropped Herbalism for mining, and is now leveling his skill, and needed a good place to look for Thorium. Needless to say, the question caught me flat-footed.

Where does one find Thorium? Then I remembered Eastern Plaguelands, Burning Steppes, Un’Goro… It all came flooding back.

Hopefully, this dark mood which has befallen me will eventually pass, and I will be free to rejoin the World of Warcraft, without looking back. Until then, I will keep the flame alive by telling myself that I have too much invested to stop

But I’m sure that’s just me.
