Herbs Farming in Teldrassil: Jackpot!

July 6th, 2009 · No Comments

Teldrassil, as I’m sure you know, is the starting Zone for Night Elves. Once they reach level 12-13, they are off to Darkshore, but Teldrassil is their Durotar, their Elwynn Forest, if you will.

Since Teldrassil is full of trees and other flora, I figure that I would send Mordauk, Death Knight Extra-Ordinaire to do a little farming for me. Despite having fallen behind in the Azerothian arms-race, Mordauk is still well equipped to deal with threats to his august person in Teldrassil.

But anyways, farming herbs in Teldrassil is a piece of cake, which may be partly explained by this:

who_list_teldrassilThere is NO ONE in Teldrassil. Me, farming herbs, and two other high-level dudes, doing God knows what. And even if they were also farming herbs, Teldrassil is so full of herbs that it would not have made a difference if they had been directly competing with me.

But anyways, in about 20 minutes of farming herbs in Teldrassil, and taking a detour to explore the map, I managed to gather:

  • 30 Peacebloom
  • 22 Silverleaf
  • 18 Earthroot
  • 4 Mageroyal
  • 1 Swiftthistle

For 20 minutes of farming, I think you’ll agree that that’s not bad. Of course, these are all low level herbs, and not worth much, but when you need them its good to know that you can get them easily. For a little proof, here is the Teldrassil Herb Map:

There you have it. As usual, there are no herbs in the racial starting area – in this case, Shadowglen. I guess the only things that sprouts there are Night Elves!
