Knights of the Ebon Blade Daily Quests

March 13th, 2009 · No Comments

There are 6 Daily Quests for the Knights of the Ebon Blade. Each of these Quests can be completed daily, hence their name, and they are a good source of Knights of the Ebon Blade Reputation, not to mention WoW Gold. They also give you access to some of the nicer items items in the game through the Knights of the Ebon Blade Quartermaster.

In this article I will go over the Knights of the Ebon Blade Daily Quests, In details.

The Knights of the Ebon Blade Daily Quests require that you have completed the chain quest of Baron Sliver, that will turn the Shadow Vault from a nest of hostile Undead into a warm, cozy refuge of friendly undead.

Wherever in Northrend you are starting from – probably Dalaran – hop on a taxi and make you way to the Shadow Vault, in northern Icecrown.

  • Accept [Shoot 'Em Up] from The Leaper (43.6, 25.1) – This quest will require you to kill 15 Proto-Drakes and their riders using some sort of gun in Jotunheim.
  • Accept [Vile Like Fire!] from Vile (43.5, 24.5) – You will need to use of the Proto-Drakes to set fire to 8 Vrykul Buildings in Jotunheim.
  • Accept [Leave Our Mark] from Baron Sliver (42.9, 25) – Baron Sliver will give you an Ebon Blade Banner, which you stick into the dead bodies of 15 Jotunheim Vrykul you have just killed.

Once you have accepted all these quests, get on your bird and fly West, just over the mountains. You will see some sort of Arena – where you have already quested by the way. Fly over that and land on the path going up the hill towards the village.

Start killing Vrykul, making your way up the path. Remember to plant the Banner after every kill. Once you get to the first Longhouse overlooking the cliff, enter it and kill its occupants, then go down the stairs and man one of the Jotunheim Rapid-Fire Harpoon.

Using the ’3′ key, shoot like a maniac at the Proto-Drakes and Their Riders. You need to shoot down 15 of them. Don’t bother with the ones flying far away, they are really hard to kill and will deplete your ammo. Just shoot the ones right in front of you. One of them will spawn every few seconds or so. Completing this quest should take no more than 3 or 4 minutes.

Once you have killed all the Proto-Drakes and their Riders, hop on your bird and make you way to the recessed arena immediately west. Alternately, you can also walk or run there.

There are always a whole bunch of Jotunheim Vrykul there. You will be able to complete [Leave Our Mark] in less than 10 minutes, guaranteed. The mobs around this arena are plentiful and not too bunched up, meaning you should not aggro more than 1 or 2 at a time.

Once you have completed [Leave Our Mark], summon your flying mount and fly south-west to 27,39. Dismount and immediately jump on of the Proto-Drakes there, and use its breath weapon to set fire to 8 Vrykul Buildings, just like Vile asked. Make sure to be above the level of the roof for the breath weapon to work properly.

Once that’s done – maybe a minute or two, go to the Cave where resides the Bone Witch at 32.5, 42.9. It’s right next to the buildings you just fried, so you can leave your Proto-Drake there. Accept and immediately turn in [Reading the Bones] for a choice of Fate Runes that give you nice bonuses. This quest requires that you give her 15 Vrykul Bones, which interestingly enough you should have in your pack. You will also receive 10 Ebon Blade Reputation Points (11 if you are Human).

Leave the cave, get on your bird and fly south-west to Death’s Rise at 19.9, 47.6. You will have to do some quests there in order to open up the dailies, but once they are available, do the following:

  • Accept [Intelligence Gathering] from Aurochs Grimbane (19.9, 47.6). He will have you collect Keys from dead Scarlet Onslaught mobs at Onslaught Harbor, and use the keys to open chests where you will find Intelligence Documents. You need 5 Intelligence Documents to complete the quest.
  • Accept [No Fly Zone] from Uzo Deathcaller (19.7, 47.9). He will gice you a Bone Gryphon, which you will use to attack and kill 10 Onslaught Gryphon Rider.
  • Accept [From their Corpses, Rise!] from Setaal Darkmender (19.7, 48.3). She will give you a Tincture, which you need to use on the corpses of 10 Onslaught Harboar Guards, or any other mob at Onslaught Harbor. This will make them return as undead and attack any other nearby mob, which is useful. You need to do this 10 times.

Once you have accepted all the quests, fly due west on your flying mount to Onslaught Harbor. The order in which you do things here is pretty much irrelevant. You need to kill 10 Onslaught Griffin Riders, however in my experience you can kill them on foot – if you manage to aggro them of course – and they still count.

Anyways, go around killing Griffins and anything else on the ground. Make sure you kill 10 Griffins and use the Tincture on 10 Onslaught bodies.

Gather all the keys you can and open any chest available to you. You will need to open anywhere from 5 to 15 chests to get all the Onslaught Intel Documents, so get lots of keys!

Once those quests are completed, fly back to Death’s Rise, where you just came from, and turn in the 3 quests there. You will receive a total of 750 Ebon Blade Reputation Points (825 if you are Human) and 36g 69s.

Get on the Taxi from Death’s Rise and return to the Shadow Vault. Once there, return the 3 Daily Quests you still have. You will also receive a total of 750 Ebon Blade Reputation Points (825 if you are Human) and 36g 69s.

That’s it!

You’ve now completed all the Ebon Blade Dailies, and received a total of 1500 Knights of the Ebon Blade Reputation points (1650 if you are Human). If you completed the Bone Witch [Reading the Bones] repeatable quest, you have also received a bonus 10 – or 11 – reputation points.

You have also collected 73g 38s, plus whatever items you managed to garner while killing the Onslaught mobs as well as the Jotunheim Vrykul.

Combined with the occasional Instance with the Ebon Blade Tabard on, you should be able to raise your Knights of the Ebon Blade reputation to 999/1000 Exalted in no time, and have access to all the goodies they have. The Arcanum of Torment and the Death-Inured Sabatons in particular are well worth grinding for!
